Academy for Schools is a contact & relationship management application, tailored to the particular requirements of a school. The concept grew from a request from a school for a cost-effective method to communicate with the students’ parents. Using Academy for Schools, our clients are able to store information relating to students, parents, teachers, classes etc. in a secure SQL Server database. They can communicate with an individual or a group using SMS, e-mail, fax, telephone or letter. There is an archive facility and the capability to view all communication history.
In addition to the core components, available features include:
- End of Year student roll-up Facility
- Import/Export facility to/from external programmes
- Photographic barcoded ID card processing, where each student has an ID card, complete with barcode and embedded photograph. The end-user has the opportunity to issue new cards, generate a new barcode, apply a new photograph etc. etc. They have complete ownership of the system.
Plans are afoot to utilise the ID card in one site to record library books being borrowed, while another uses it to record dining hall details (dependant upon the POS module)
