This tool enables the comprehensive extract of specific claims information.
The generated extract can be forwarded to an external party (for example a solicitor).
The Event Log (outlined above) is the basis for the extract as it contains a history of all events on a claim. The extract processes the history, creating a separate document for each item in the log. If the history item is a letter, then the letter is extracted in PDF format and inserted into the extract folder. Likewise if the item is linked to an external document management application, that document is extracted and inserted in into the folder. If the item is a file note, a text file is created in the folder. Once all items have been extracted in chronological order, an index file is created, listing the order in which the files should occur. The result is presented in HTML format. The user simply clicks on a link which will present the document which can then be printed or placed on a CD-ROM and sent to the requesting party.
